Another early morning heavy rescue in Hauppauge

0230 hours. The Hauppauge Fire Department responds along with Central Islip Hauppauge Ambulance to a traffic collision involving two vehicles at Express Drive South and Veterans Highway. An occupant of one vehicle was pinned and injured. The victim was extricated by the crews of Heavy Rescue 9, Engine 3 (acting as engine 1) and SCPD ESU 9. Ambulances from CI Hauppauge, East Brentwood and the Smithtown Fire Department were used to transport the victims.
