Smithtown Vollies handled back to back alarms this evening. The first at 1904 hours on Burlington Ave was for a problem with the electrical meter to the home. Crews checked to be sure there was no fire extension into the home and requested the power company to respond.

While operating at this alarm a Barbecue Fire on Stony Hill Path was reported. Units responded to find an extinguished fire. Crews from Engine 5 and Ladder 7 secured the unit. All units were back in service by 2000hours.
