0620 hours.Central Islip Hauppauge Ambulance and Central Islip Fire Department respond to a report of a traffic collision with injuries in front of 676 Lowell Avenue at the intersection of Hackmatac Street. Units arrive to find a vehicle on its side and burning, resting against a snapped utility pole. Wires were also down. The occupant of the vehicle was traded by EMS and FD personnel extinguished the fire.
