0259 hours. The Hauppauge Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a tractor trailer fire on the Long Island Expressway. Units arrive to find a Ford Excursion burning on the shoulder between exits 55-56 on the eastbound side. Engines 3-8-1 and 3-8-4 operated and made quick work of the fire.
