House fire on Meadow Road in Kings Park.

1200 hours. The Kings Park Fire Department is dispatched to 434 Meadow Road in regard to a phone alarm reporting smoke in the house. Units arrived shortly thereafter and after a quick size up and search, found active fire in the walls around a fireplace chimney in a two story dwelling. The working fire was transmitted, bringing in units from Smithtown, Commack, St. James and East Northport FD's. Firefighters opened the walls, extinguished the fire and overhauled the area. Fire Marshals from the Town of Smithtown Department of Public Safety are investigating. Commack Ambulance sent a rig to cover for the duration of the incident.
