An elderly female died in a single vehicle crash on West Main Street near Stop and Shop. The vehicle left the roadway, stopping approximately 100 feet into a wooded area on the north side of the street. FD personnel had to cut away the brush to extricate the victim, who was then removed and transported to St. Catherines Hospital. Main Street was closed in both directions from the Bull to Brooksite Drive for approximately three hours.
