The Ronkonkoma Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a traffic collision in the vicinity of 181 Hudson Avenue in Lake Grove. Units arrived to find that a passenger vehicle had left the roadway, driving through a utility pole and then striking a tree. FD personnel stabilized, packaged and transported the lone occupant to the hospital. The vehicle was secured and the scene was turned over to Suffolk Police.
