Single car crash on the LIE in Hauppauge

1411 hours. Hauppauge Fire Department responds to the Exit 57 off ramp from the Long Island Expressway in regards to a single vehicle crash. The operator of the vehicle lost control, left the roadway striking construction barrels and a light tower before riding up onto the guardrail system. Neither occupant of the vehicle were injured. Central Islip Hauppauge Ambulance handled the patient assessment while crews from Hauppauge FD up righted the light tower to stop a diesel fuel leak and then applied absorbent material to the roadway. Chief of Department Feron operated with Rescue 9.
