Centereach lays one of their own to rest

The Centereach Fire Department was joined by firefighters from many other departments when they said goodbye to Past Chief Daniel Peluso this morning. The 51 year old was a past Chief and Past Commissioner in Centereach and he was the Mechanic for the Holbrook Fire District and the Vice President of LIEVT. Danny was a successful inventor and an accomplished musician. On November 27th, Danny lost a long battle with cancer but he never let it slow him down. He lived life to the fullest every day and cherished every minute with his wife Tracy, their two children and their friends. The love that Danny and Tracy share for each other is rare and true in every sense.
The wake and Firematic service was held at the Holbrook Fire Department and the funeral was at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Lake Ronkonkoma.
On a personal note, Danny was one of the first Chiefs that I worked with after becoming the Lake Grove Fire Marshal.Danny you were a class act. I am a better person having known you and the laughs and stories we shared will live on forever. Rest easy my friend. I have no doubt that you will watch over Tracy, Danny, Erin, Debbie, Dominick, Ann Marie, Michael and the rest of your family and friends for eternity.
RIP.
